  • 2008 Annual Conference Report, 27-28 May 2008 - The 2008 CAAHT Annual Conference was the fourth nationwide gathering of anti-trafficking actors in Albania convened by the USAID/CAAHT program. It focused on sustainability of anti-trafficking work in Albania. The interest from the anti-trafficking community remained high, with 108 participants in attendance. Networks and systems for anti-trafficking were highlighted. Eleven presentations of good practices in practical collaboration for prevention of trafficking, awareness raising and assistance/reintegration for victims of trafficking were presented by teams from collaborating agencies, governmental and nongovernmental. Recognizing that financial resources are an essential element of sustainability, a panel of “donors” predicted coming trends in international and domestic funding sources.

  • 2005 Annual Conference Report, 11-12 October 2005 - This report summarizes the results of the CAAHT Annual Conference convened in Tirana, Albania, 11-12 October 2005. More than 90 project stakeholders gathered to exchange information, lessons learned and to affirm the urgent need to take action against trafficking of Albanian women and children. The extensive knowledge of Albania's "anti-trafficking community" was mobilized through national experts who presented practical models and principles for anti-trafficking work in panel presentations.  Over 50% of the conference agenda was dedicated to working group discussions among local government and civil society partners that enabled them to share best practices and seek solutions together to overcome obstacles that hinder effective anti-trafficking work in Albania.
